Nothing Is Known But . . .
by David M. Matthews
|
nothing is known but -- that
nothing is known --
and death --
we wake to bright noon
a blue hammer
or a green saxophone
washes up from the sea
the color of laughter --
the wind might touch
us like words -- poetry --
the sky above -- brilliant
with time --
