A Soft, Sultry Slow
by Theresa Smart
|
Honeysuckle weighs heavy in the moonlight
the air perfumed a sticky sweet
your breath warm against the nape of my neck
a soft, sultry, slow, between us
the cicadas sing beyond the bayou
welcome young lovers- as you may enter
so many more shall never leave.
