The wolfman questions his faith
by Abigail F. Taylor
|
Reach deep into the pit
of your stomach where
the black guilt and shame
tear a hole.
This agony is a knife
that regrets stabbing and
it is the forgiving wound
that still bleeds.
He said, How long, O Lord?
Will you forget me forever?
And you want to scream this
but you can't because the animal
has gagged you and you can only
collapse into yourself and suffer.
