Among Friends
by Angela Hamon

He hears voices
Silence like a freight train
Vast WalMart fright terrain
At home eating cup o'noodles
Not yet puffed up
Bad vibes all around the place
Just him and his machines
They talk to him
Never ask him to explain
It's summer but it's cold.
